LARGO - U.S. Rep. Donna Edwards (D-Fort Washington) is continuing the process of hiring staff. Maryland’s newest U.S. Representative told PolitickerMD.com, “We’re in the process of interviewing for our senior staff, legislative director, chief of staff and district manager.”
“And then we’re going to have a really terrific team management concept,” she added. “We’re going to proceed to open up district offices,” throughout MD-4.
She continued: “And I’m not in a rush. My interest is in finding the strongest, smartest, most competent people to serve the people of the 4th district.”
Edwards also told PolitickerMD.com that she would consider applicants from former U.S. Rep. Al Wynn’s staff. “We’ve interviewed at least a couple of people,” she said. “Our process is open.”
Edwards has been on the job for less than two weeks after defeating Peter James (R) in a special election. She will face James again in November.
