Edwards party gets rowdy

LARGO - With returns showing Donna Edwards leading Al Wynn significantly, the mood here at the Edwards party is, to put it mildly, boisterous.

In the ballroom, where Edwards is set to speak, the music is beginning to blare and shouts of laughter and celebration are erupting.

When a man standing near the stage calls out results from the Associated Press feed he is greeted with loud cheers.

Outside the press room, a few Edwards supporters are chanting lyrics from the Steam song “Na Na Hey Hey Kiss Him Goodbye."

“It’s done,” says Edwards supporter and Openleft.com blogger Matt Stoller. “It’s not even close. This is a blowout.”
