Eighth District Congressional Candidate Dr. Steve Hudson released the following statement on the anniversary of 9/11:
"On this day seven years ago, America was attacked on our own soil by Islamic extremists. On my way to work today, I drove under a small bridge and standing on top was a group of people waving American flags. I was overcome with emotion, and I layed on my horn and waved my hand out the window. When they waved back, I was taken back to September 11, 2001, when unprecedented patriotism and unity swept the Nation in the hours after the attack. We will forever remember those heroes who gave up their lives on this tragic day in history, and those brave men and women of the U.S. Armed Forces who fight for our freedom. With the development of nuclear technology and biotechnical industries across the world, significant threats remain. The United States must remain steadfast in our resolve to protect our Homeland against future attacks."
